Summary of my past 3 weeks

之前的三个星期，是我这个学期最最勤奋的一段时期。
没有读完的讲义、没有碰过的课文、没有上过的课，
全部在这段时间内读完、看完、听完。

1st week - Reading Week
将Chinese Heritage和Bioddiversity的讲义、课本
从头到尾看过一遍
我从来没有这么“喜欢”读书，
睡醒吃饭后，就开始读书，一直读读读读读，读到晚餐，
然后再读读读读读，读到睡觉。

天气太热了，所以就躲进冷气房，和朋友一起读。
看到大家都很专心地读，我当然也不敢偷懒，只好一只读读读读读。
偶尔谁谁谁冒出一句冷笑话什么的，给大家解解闷；
再来，就搬出一堆零时、干粮，吃吃吃，这样才不会打瞌睡嘛！
看到有巧克力什么的，每个人就会突然很开心，
打起精神继续冲刺~

4月23日，和Sang、Jia去West Coast Plaza读书
Thai Express, Coffeebean (还是Starbucks，忘了）, Chineses Restaurant
边吃边喝边读书，就重要的是，
有冷气可以吹！
晚上，大伙儿全出来吃Fish & Co.
今年的生日，是有点不一样！ =)

2nd Week - Exam Week
终于开始了……
第一仗，Chinese Heritage: History and Literature
准备充分，有两题，每一题写足一本booklet!!!
没问题！（哈哈，自信过度，看了成绩再说……）
第二仗，Biodiversity
准备恰中，因为是Open-book，所以没背什么东西
结果，两个小时的考试，一直都在翻课本！
一边翻就一边冒冷汗！
翻到最后，很想骂人！
哈，“好玩”啊！

星期六，大伙儿去Vivocity吃日本餐，
贵啊！一个人吃了25新币左右~ 哈~
然后上楼打Arcade
有个Baby的机，很可爱的~
我们7个20出岁的老孩子，
一边乱喊乱叫，一边玩那个幼稚但是很“刺激”的游戏机~
还有，跳舞机
哈哈，很想回家买PS跳舞机的map，放假跳~
嗯，考试期间苦中作乐
否则，真地会崩溃的~

回去，继续读读读读读……

3rd Week - Exam + Holiday
因为最后两张都在星期一考，挺重的~
前一天，星期日，我倍感压力，心情很不好
Statistics越做越乱，越做越没信心，唉~
Singapore History，一点心情都没有，我不喜欢历史啦！
读到想哭，&#244
56;不想去考试~

星期一还是降临了，背着很沉重的心情去考试~
去来考场，天啊！
人山人海，水泄不通
因为H1N1 Swine Flu的关系，每个人进考场前，得量体温
哈，NUS的效率实在是……
充分展现新加坡的精神————kiasu,kiaoxi
结果，排队量体温，排了半个钟头多
迟了十分钟进考场，考试也延后20分钟开始
哈，好一个特别的经验~

早上得Stats，差强人意，
没有A咯~ B+ please~
下午的历史嘛……写到很“爽”!
原来我这么会crap的，写废话越写越过瘾，
两题足足写了1又1/4 本作答booklets （写一行空一行啦~ but still……）
哈哈……我疯了……
希望批考卷的老师不要疯掉，我祝他好运~

So... 我考完试了！！！
可是，一点都不开心……
不是因为考不好，只是突然很空虚，不知道要做什么，所以闷闷的~
考完试后一天，其他人还在考，每人陪我，所以
我自个儿玩Facebook玩了一整天……
无聊啊！！！

再过一天，心情更糟~ 想哭~
原本打算关在房大哭一场的~
傻的咩~
之后比自己出门，Sang和jia陪我去看初院的华乐比赛
我两年前参加过的华乐比赛！
可是……
拿不到票，结果看不成~
失落归失落，再次看到很多学校的华乐团聚集在大厅等候，
勾起很多回忆，我已经满足了~
六月的 enCOre 09，我会再次踏入 SCH 的！

看比赛的计划泡汤后，我们三个就改道去Orchard
打GAME!!!
是的，玩了一个钟头多的Wii
哈哈，再一次幼稚的玩闹！
然后，
去吃了一顿很划算的晚餐
Buy 1 Free 1
我们三个叫了两道————burger and wrap
很多肉~ 吃得很饱很饱~
结果才18块！
哈哈，便宜到~

今天星期四，
As usual，睡到中午才起床吃午餐
吃了午餐，玩桌球！
终于有机会玩一玩了！
原来我挺有天分的，哈哈~
然后玩了一下下Bubble （是的，我宿舍内有几台Arcade机）
等一下，会出去骑脚车~
=)

放假了，要玩玩玩玩玩~
不然，会闷毙的~

Exams Over!!! Year One Ended!!!

Officially end my first year in NUS
After the one week examinations, I'm completed exhausted
When the last paper ended this evening,
I had no mood to celebrate at all
not even have the feeling of happiness
I can only feel one thing
- T - I - R - E - D -

No strength to play games
No strength to watch korean drama
No strength to surf the net
And
No MOOD TO SLEEP!!!
Oh my god~
It's 2:30am now, and I'm still AWAKE!!!

it seems that they are trying to hide sth from me
I SENSED IT, OKAY!!
it really hurts when they lied (or kept it secret from me)~

my brain and mind can't take it anymore~

Presentation - 2

结果，他在早上5点的时候把slides交上
可是！！！
可是！！！
他并没有compile!!!
来了封短讯，叫我做!!!
我？？？？
我！！！！

4点presentation，一直到下午2点多，
我还在compile slides
根本没多余的时间准备稿什么的

结果，临场表现的结果就是
失败！！！
彻底的失败！！！

Dr. Chua用了近15~20分钟的时间，
指出了我的门错误
虽然没有明言，
总觉得我的part给他讲得几乎一文不值
虽然他说written report还有得救，
可是，
我已经心灰意冷了！
尤其是看到下一组present之后，更是丧失了继续奋斗的力气。
我的组，是糟透了~

这两个星期，是紧要时期
9号考Statistics；因为上回考得不好，这回在不补救补救，这科就完了~
14号考韩文听、写；太多太多生字语法要背，我该怎么办？
15号考韩文口试+演短剧；现在正赶着写剧本；口试？算了吧……
17号交written report；一大堆考试排在它前面，我要几时写report啊？拜托，我真的不想当掉这科~

神啊！给我力量！
明天起我会停止一切Facebooking, Youtubing, 甚至是这里的Blogging
一直到5月5号为止
加油了！！！

Presentation Day - 1

明天，两个presentation
早上那个不重要，只是一题短短的数学题（应该是统计）
下午那个，重要，有算分的！

我，不紧张，因为我该做得都做了
可是，我现在却在冒火
因为有个组员，到现在还没把powerpoint弄好！！！
大三很忙，我们大一的就不忙啊！
我已经很客气了
让他延期再延期
明天4点present，他说早上6点会把powerpoint弄好。
好，
明天早上6点再收不到你的powerpoint，
看我下午怎么对付你！！！

IVLE

Wow!! NUS really got a great internet community.
We have something called IVLE (Integrated Virtual Learning Environment).

Each student has access to his/her own modules' info.
All the lecture notes, assignments, announcements etc will be posted and/or submitted through IVLE.
There're also forums, where students in the same module can communicate and ask question online.
Class roster, where list of students taking the same module is available. You can send email to your classmates/module-mates through it.

Besides Modules, we have this thing called Community.
Students can form groups online, share same topics of interest, do group project, etc (hereby called communities).
There's forum and place to upload/download files.
Last semester, I joined one to communicate with lab partners while doing lab reports.
This semester, I created one for my project group, and we explored more, further than just forum and sharing files.
We tried out Online Meeting.

Yes, just Like Online Conference, but more advanced.
Besides voices and images of each other, we share the same screen.
Meaning we can have something like a whiteboard to draw and write on it and everyone in the meeting can see it, simultaneously.
We can also import powerpoint slides to it, and that's what we did just now.
Then we went through slide by slide, adding comments or notes on them.
There's also Text Chat function, just like MSN.
I saved the whole conversation during the 4 hours meeting into pdf file, ya, that's our minutes.
Everything typed, written or drawn can be printed out, on paper, or to PDF using relevant program like Acrobat.

So well...
See...NUS students are so "blessed" with all these high-tech applications.

（昨天）中午，去新加坡动物园哦！
干嘛？
读书……Biodiversity Vertebrate……

最后一次去新加坡动物园，
应该是近十年前的事了吧！（哦，我有这么老吗？）
完全没影响了。
这会再次光顾动物园
喔~兴奋兴奋！

可是，都说是去读书了的嘛
三个小时，就跟着TA，
绕整个动物园跑来跑去
听了很多很多动物的名称、特征、背后的小故事
可是，却没有多少时间慢慢“观赏”那些动物
TA只是带过，表面上带过罢了
可惜呀！

印象最深刻的是灵长类Primates了
看到Lion King里面那个Baboons,
Madagascar的Lemurs (Lemurs真的只产于Madagascar哦！）
经过一群忘了是什么灵长类的时候，听到其他组的一个男生对另一个男生说：
"So we can actually mate with them lar?"
！！！！！
什么东？？！！！

三四个小时后，终于看完“该看”的动物、考完那五题超简单得MCQ测验
我是热到~累到~脚酸到~
头开始痛了~

动物园回来，独自吃了晚餐（为什么一个人吃呢？问可欣！！！哈~）
然后就去看华文学会华乐团的表演
因为上次错过了国大华乐团的演出而频感后悔，
这次可欣问我要不要去时，我一口答应了
可是……
……
那演出……
……
水准……
……

好啦，因为他们90%以上都是初学者，
能奏出这几首合奏曲算是很不错了
当年我刚“出道”时也是这般水准
得鼓励鼓励，希望他们能越办越好~

下星期开始，一连串的考试、测验、Presentation就要开始了
引擎，
却怎么也开启不了！！！

吃着巧克力，
发呆……

2天内交差！

功课越来越重，尤其是韩文班的。
一星期四小时的课，赶着教一课课文。
旧的语法、单字还没搞清楚背熟，新的就接踵而来，完全没有喘气的空隙。
今天刚派下作文题目，手稿、电脑副本、录音，两天后得交差。
什么嘛？！！
今晚不睡觉，写作文；明晚不睡觉，录稿。
我快昏了~
