雅虎vs微软 (Newsweek读后感)

雅虎(Yahoo!) 和 微软(Microsoft)算是家喻户晓的名称,也说得上是电脑软件和网际网络的代名词吧!
最近常上网摸索,解除了不少新玩意儿,也隐隐约约看到了商家在网际网络上的竞争。
Yahoo!对垒Google
IE对垒Firefox
Microsoft对垒Apple
很多很多
这几天看新闻才知道,微软出高价收购雅虎,被拒绝了。
嗯,或许雅虎正在等微软出更高、更好的价钱;有或许,雅虎还有所顾忌。
怎说呢?

刚看了Newsweek的一篇报道,专家推测微软这次的收购目的是为了抵抗日渐强大的Google。

可见Google这情而有力的搜寻引擎不仅仅是Yahoo!的强敌,也对Microsoft带来不少威胁。
或许,“Microhoo”的合并真的能抵抗Google。

可是,值得考量的是,即便合并了,就能抵抗Google吗?
多年了,雅虎和微软都一直在更进、更新自家的产品和服务,可Google仍遥遥领先,成为大众网友的搜寻引擎。
Newsweek也给了个统计: “about six of every 10 searches are Googly”!
合并了,人才集中了,当真就能对付Google?

还有,大众网友的福利也牵扯在内了!
雅虎一旦点头答应和微软合并,那么两大引擎将合二为一。
这看上去固然是好,可这么一来,消费者就少了个选择啦!
“As far as the consumer is concerned, of course, the merger means less choice in search, as the second- and third- place engines behoind Google would now be a single entity.” -Newsweek
