SBS website is wacky, so for those who still fail to apply online
here's an alternative for you -- using smartphone app!!!

METHOD 1: To apply online via SBS website
1) Login to SBS:
Tutorial at http://musical-bell.blogspot.com/2011/04/tutorial-to-sbs-inkigayo-sign-up.html
2) Go to Application site: http://gayo.sbs.co.kr/gayo_pdtalk.jsp
3) Search for the one writing "2013 SBS 가요대전에서..."
- Click on 멋글쓰기
- Click on the input field, and write down the singer/group that you wish to see on SBS Gayo Daejeon; this will serve as a voting event as well as ticket application
- Click on 확인 once you're done to submit your message.
***I'm sorry but SBS website fails on me when I'm preparing this tutorial, so I couldn't tell you what's the next step. Hope you could try figure out yourself; I'll revisit and update this post later...***

METHOD 2: To apply using smartphone App
1) Download the SOTY application onto your smartphone, links are as follows:
- Iphone: https://itunes.apple.com/kr/app/the-soty/id573833677?mt=8
- Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.soty
I'm using iPhone, so here're the screenshots (Android users, please explore around, the layout should be similar as iPhone)
2) Register an account in the SOTY app, login, and update your particulars especially with a Korean cellphone number (COMPULSORY)
- please follow screenshots below, from left to right, top to bottom
3) Go into Inkigayo section and leave message on the Gayo Daejeon page for ticket application
- please follow screenshots below, from left to right, top to bottom
And you're done!!!! ^^

Hi thanks so much for the tutorial! I know you stated you didn't have other info right now but if you happen to get more info later, how would I check the site to see if I got tickets to Gayo Daejeon or not? Would the email me or would they just post on the SBS site? Thanks again! ^^

Ticket winners will be contacted individually, most likely via SMS. You need to update your profile with a Korean cellphone number before applying. Hope this clarifies :)
is there something wrong with sbs website though? I've been trying for few days now and i stil get a log in fail whenever i tried. I even create a new account but still have the same problem.

The ticket application for the year end shows are usually opened in mid December. So you might want to come back two weeks later, I'll do a tutorial once the info is out :)
