今天写部落格写上瘾了~
刚从Intellectual Games学围棋回来
是的,我放弃了黑白棋,专注于我一直都很感兴趣的围棋
原本打算九点就回了的
走之前,组长要我下多一盘“快的”
结果,一下就是一个小时!
我的脑浆快被渣干了~

围棋组长,看上去呆呆木木的
可是,那个脑也是像黑白棋那儿的妖怪一样
他可是下围棋下了十多年咯哟(现在还只是大二、大三)!
副组长还说了句话:“你是我们围棋的神!"
哇~
这个Intellectual Games里面聚集了不少妖怪~
哈哈……

180 degrees change

一个人的改变能多大?

我的两个同学,让我发现
人,
是可以有个180度的改变的

同学一号,
曾经是个“阿莲”型的女生
功课极好,但是性格挺叛逆的
有一次学校检查头发(只能留刘海,且不能过眉毛)
同学一号当场拿出剪刀,
剪短三四根头发,哈,那就是不过眉的刘海了~
多年以后上了中学,
再一次遇见这位同学一号
天!
竟成了淑女一个!
过膝长裙,斯文端庄的坐着
简直就是乖巧好学生一号!

还有,同学二号
更是让我吃惊
曾经是个斯文甜美乖乖女
说话的时候声音细小的不得了
像极了中国古代的才女
中学时期,遇上了她
没变,还是羞答答的公主
三年后的今天,再一次联络上了
我简直不敢相信自己的眼睛~
花巧的长发、暗色眼影、黑色指甲
我马上想到了两个字————
Gothic Lolita!!

人,
真是个有趣的动物~

Computing

I'm taking Introduction to Computing...
Kind of wondering why I take this module
First part of it, it's about computer hardwares which I'm not really interested in
Second part will be on softwares and internet and www etc
well this part is much more interesting
The upcoming syllabus will cover something like e-Commence, security, etc
which are rather dry and boring :(

The most "FUN" part is the group project assignment
to study one of the emerging technology nowadays
Don't know why, I joined a "strangers" group
And the topic we are going to do is blogshopping

Well, you know what's blog and what's online shopping
"Blogshop" is simply online shopping on blogs

This topic may be interesting
but also quite hard to get relevant statistics or case study on it
Arggghhh...how am I going to survive through it?!!!

Mid Autumn Festival

中秋节快乐!
和家人去了趟牛车水,因为老爸要玩他的相机
蛮不错的
人山人海
只是灯笼方面,有待改进~

另一项,PGP的中秋庆祝活动,
相比下就较有气氛的多了
挂了很多很多“传统”的纸灯笼(可惜没点上蜡烛)
还可以亲手制作月饼、品茶、猜灯谜……
很有中华文化的气息

记得一次韩文课,老师提起中秋节
说,中秋和农历新年是韩国最最盛大的节日
(嗯~)
中秋,韩文是주석(zu seok)
月饼,韩文是월병(wor bieong)
(都是汉语直接翻译)
接着一位学生问道:
"Is there any history or origin of moon cake?"
噔噔~
老师答说:"oh, I don't know any of that."
学生接着说:"...coz we have..."
……
直刺刺地说明了韩国的中秋节和月饼是从中国那里来的
……
不过有点“讽刺”的是,说话的学生是新加坡人
当他说"we have",好像在说自己是中国人似的
对啦,“民族精神”嘛~

Biochemistry

Because of Prof Too, I love biochem now...esp the lab session
this is the only subject that i enjoy the most
org chem, well...lecture quite boring...can't learn much from lab too...
genetics, omg...the lecturers are...haiz...
IT, quite okay...but somehow info-loaded...
korean...HA~ I LOVE THE MOST...

BUT~
from this week onwards, change lecturer
no longer Prof Too...
sob sob...lecture becoming less cheerful and lively now...
haiz...

九一一事件七周年
觉得,比起前几年,今年的周年纪念没那么轰动了
时间是可以用来疗伤的~

七年前的912,我在韩国首尔的机场
等着去济州岛的班机时,看见机场到处都是警卫
挺恐怖的~

七年后的今天,我坐在韩语班教室
等着考第一张韩语测验
等着的当儿,老师播了首歌让我们“放轻松”
嘿!竟是首熟悉的音乐!

韩文老师教了个蛮“哲理”的文法
怎么说“哲理”呢?

首先,韩文文字是有三个“笔画”组成的:
. 代表“太阳”
| 代表“人”
- 代表“地”

接着,请答一答以下问题:
1. “上”和“下”,哪一个带有正面的意义?
2. “左”和“右”,哪一个带有正面的意义?

根据东方人的文化习俗,答案是“上”和“右”。

而韩文文字则可以用 ㅗ代表“上”、ㅜ代表“下” (嗯,很像我们汉字的象形文)
还有,ㅓ代表“左”、ㅏ代表“右”

凡带有贬义的动词/形容词的韩文文字,大多数都会含有“ㅓ”这个笔画
而带有褒义的动词/形容词,则有“ㅏ”这个笔画。
ㅣ 和 ㅡ 则是中性的。
哈哈,“哲理”咧~

忙里偷闲

终于考完Organic Chem了
看得懂的,我已经尽量做了
有些Reaction明明看过,就是不记得
算了吧,临时抱佛脚,下场不会好~

Skipping Tutorial (now)
原因:
第一,没有做功课,去了等于白去
第二,昨晚Mug到两点多三点,累垮了
第三,早上被折磨了一轮,今天没法再碰Org Chem了
第四,懒!!!

好累,pysically and mentally...
好奇怪自己为什么要参加这么多课外活动
对,是为了以后还可以继续住在宿舍
可是,好忙哦!
时间表排得满满的~
如果真想读书,那就一定免不了迟睡
迟睡就会迟起,好不健康的生活~

Self-pressurising

我几乎要变成一个完美主义者了
又或者说,凡是有事情没办好,我就会睡得不安心
总是要将工作做完了,才肯罢休

往往,
这些工作并不是我一个人的责任
就拿Lab Report来说,那其实是个Group Report
我事实上并不需担心太多
可是,组员却不怎么积极
讨论时也不怎么productive
交报告的期限渐渐逼近,我就会越来越慌
熬夜研究问题、写报告
奇怪,怎么好像只有我一个在忙、在头痛~

今天也考了第一个Molecular Genetics的测验
题目不难~甚至可以说很简单~
可是,越是简单的题目,越是让我感到害怕
他到底是要我写很简略的答案呢?
还是看似简单的题目后面其实有着很深奥的理论?
总之,做得一塌糊涂!

唉,该睡觉了~
喉咙好痛~

Busy Weekend

Morning:
Went for modelling class
Yes, MODELling~
Learn to walk on high heels...
Imagine, I AM THE SHORTEST IN THE CLASS!!!

Afternoon:
Rotaract Club dry run
Good one~

Evening+Night:
Malaysia's MERDEKA DAY count-down
went back to NUS High and meet the juniors
BBQ and chatting and card games and..
HTHT (heart-to-heart-talk) -- not very successful~
At last had the count-down at 12 o'clock
and 3 MERDEKA shouts (but quite soft as compared to precious years)
Anyway...celebration was well done
A great applause to the juniors
they managed to prepare all the food and stuff for us so many seniors =)

After the celebration, had to walk back to hostel
no more buses...difficult and expensive if to take a cab back
Walk for almost 1 hour...reached hostel around 1:30am
TIRED~

Morning:
Went shopping with Sang
Oo... =D

Evening:
Pot Lucky (Buffet) for Residence 3
Had a great variety of food from different countries and ethnics
Yummy yummy~


Hmmm...weekend passing by just like this
and I didnt revise and read my genetics paper yet
next wed will be the 1st test...
OMG~
god bless please...

Uni Life

Finally used to the rhythm in uni...
Basically it's about sleeping late and wake up late (for me)
Rushing to lectures during daytime and getting tired by CCA at night
Not much private time, but only after 10pm
when I finally can stay silently in room
Trying to make full use of the limited time,
hence resulting in the lack of sleep and rest

Many people said my room (or myself) is very "domestic"
I have rice cooker, water boiler, cookies, snacks, pasta and lots of food here
as if I moved the entire bedroom and kitchen from my home
can really feel HOME in my room
love it~

Thanks for the 2 years in JC, I've learnt to be independent
the ways of studying and having lectures are similar to what I've been through
no big worries...
just that in uni really need more self-study,
can't depend on lecturers and TAs alone...

Unlike what we had in Sec sch and JC,
there's no fixed form class in uni
So I don't really have fixed classmates
Have to learn to make friends wherever you go
in lecture halls, tutorial classes, labs and cca
This forces me to talk and say HI! to people around,
which I'm always too lazy to do so
Anyway, have been improving a lot already
made quite some new friends around,
won't be lonely during lectures, tutorials and labs anymore
Cheers =)

There will be the 1st test next Wed
haiz...got to study now...
Should set a target, perhaps...
CAP 4.0?!!
Haha don't dare to expect too high
期望越大,失望越大~
