I'm always curious how people get to go inside a TV show recording studio
this curiosity has been developing since small
and it's getting tenser after I reached Korea
i just feel that my trip won't be perfect
if I don't go to any K-pop event/show
concert tickets are expensive, so I thought of going TV show :)

So I started my research on how to get free tickets into recording studio
most websites/blogs have guides on how to queue with fan groups early in morning if were to get tickets
very very few websites mentioned about getting tickets from the broadcasting stations directly
hence decided to explore the SBS, MBC, KBS official website myself
but all are written in Korean >.<
it's really a challenge to find the correct sites and to read all those instructions in Korean
haha...kind of a quiz to test my Korean after learning it for more than 2 years~~
well...i guess i passed the quiz then, seeing that i managed to register, and gotten the tickets!!!

p.s. even if can't get tickets online, don't give up!
you still have chance to watch LIVE show
if you're willing to wake up early and queue with the fan groups
here's a guide from Redpincers:

Signing up account at Korea websites
For foreigners, it's rather troublesome to sign up for accounts at Korea-based websites
if you're residing overseas, I think only ID/passport is required
but for foreigners residing in korea, your IP address will be detected
and you must sign up with your Alien Registration Card
you won't get the card unless you're a "long-term" students/workers etc residing in Korea
I've waited for one month before getting my Alien Card and finally getting myself an account)
and yes, foreigners are called "Alien" in this case, ahhahah...

So for non-Koreans, I think it'd better to sign up for all necessary accounts in your home country
you may update your phone number/address later once reached Korea
(this applies to G-Market and all other Korea-based websites as well)

By the way,
for Music Bank, Music Core and Inkigayo,
once you succeed in the "lottery", you may bring another friend along to the show
so one pass for 2 persons ^^

* * *

LIVE show: Thu 6pm
Venue: 마포구 상암동 CJ E&M센터 2F
Ticket: No tickets required; just go there early to queue >.<

***
KBS Music Bank:
Application: every Thu (9:00AM) -Fri (24:00 MN)
Result: next Mon after 5pm (namelist released on their website)
Ticket collection: Fri 4:50pm - 5:20pm
Admission: Fri 5:30pm - 6:00pm
LIVE show: Fri 5:50pm
Venue: KBS 신관 공개홀

I think there's some problem with the website
'cause it keeps saying that I'm not over 15 year-old
헐~

***
MBC Music Core:
http://quiz.imbc.com/user/template/quiz_join_frm.asp?MstDiv=35&SvcDiv=96 (to be refreshed every visit)

Application: every Thu (1pm) till next Thu (12 noon)
Result: Thu after 6pm (through SMS; namelist online as well)
Admission: Sat 3:30pm
LIVE show: Sat 4:20pm
Venue: Ilsan MBC Dream Centre (South Gate)
Not sure on how to collect the tickets...
but I believe it's the same as Inkigayo? (see below)

***
SBS Inkigayo: http://tv.sbs.co.kr/gayo/
Result: Thu after 3pm (check online after login)
Admission: Sun 2:30pm
LIVE show: Sun 3:50pm
Venue: SBS 공개홀

Have to check the results online after login
if succeed, just print out the pass, there's "admission number" on it
bring along the pass and ID card to SBS on Sunday
show it to the security officers, they will check against their namelist, and sign your pass
Since admission starts from 2:30, and since they queue according to the "admission number"
there's no need to go there early...around 2:30 is fine~
After gotten the pass signed, keep it safe...then queue outside the gate according to the number
then just wait for your turn to go inside :)
and i think even if you're late, say arrive around 3:15,
you can still go in, the security officers will help you "cut queue" (but better don't risk) >.<

Hi, Saw your comments on redpincers. This is my first time trying to get into the Music Core etc. Will try your method of getting the tickets but I do have a qns. If I am now currently in Singapore, if I managed to get the tics how do I collect it?

Yuekling said...

Hi:) didn't expect to have visitors linked from redpincers >.< haha...

Anyway, I think it'd be better if I give examples on how the application works. Let say:

For Music Core and Inkigayo:
- You apply on Thu 31st March
- The results will be out on 7th April
- So you can go to the show and collect tickets on 9th (Music Core) or 10th (Inkigayo)

For Music Bank:
- You apply on Thu 31st or Fri 1st April
- The results will be out on Mon 4th April
- You may go to the show and collect tickets on 8th April

Hope this helps :)

Hi Thanks for the info. I tried to go to inkigayo and KBS but I don't understand Korean. Do you have the exact link to get the tickets?

Yuekling said...

@babyfatsamo:
You'd need to register an account on the website before applying for the tickets. So since you can't understand Korean, I think it might be a bit difficult to do it by yourself. Are you in Korea now, or are you in urgent need to apply for the tickets? I can try do a step-by-step tutorial on how to register and apply for the tickets, but I can only do it after 26th April as I'll be having exams the coming weeks.

KBS keeps saying that I've already made an account which I clearly haven't. So I tried going to the ID Search tab and there, after putting in the necessary information, it says "Blindness Authentication Failed".....okay. I never made an account in the first place. Any ideas to fix this?

I tried making an account on a different browser and there it says the same thing: "You've already made an account" No, I haven't KBS. Stop tripping.

Hi, I just came across your blog and thank you so much for your tutorials it's a real help for international fans like us ;;
Btw, I haven't followed you from the beginning but I saw that you were from NUS taking Science? Just wondering tho, did you take Korean outside by yourself or was it offered in NUS?

Yuekling said...

Sorry guys/girls for MIA-ing from this blog and not replying your questions in time...

@SKhatri,
It would be good if you could include a screenshot here and I'll try to see what's the error about. I suspect that you are trying to sign up with an username which already been used by someone else (so maybe try to use other username?)

@J Tan,
Yup I was from NUS Life Sci, and I took the Korean Language modules offered by NUS FASS.

Hi, I actually have the same problem as SKhatri.

I've never made a KBS account in the past, but today when I tried making an account and put in my passport information, I pressed enter and a message popped up saying an account already exists. So then I tried to search for my ID with my passport information, and this message pops up "Blindness authentication failed."

Perhaps there's a different way I can make an account?
