i'll use english this time
well...as usual (every Tuesday evening)
i went to the MCYC (Methodist Child and Youth Centre) to be their volunteer
conducting a one-to-one tuition for the primary or secondary kids
hehe...i am a tutor now, teaching a primary 5 girl
HA!
she is pretty good in maths i think
she is from china
so
can i conclude that everyone from china are superb in maths?
i really think that a chinese is always very good in maths, esp those from china
well...today i encountered a math question
not difficult actually..but i think it is super hard for a primary 5 student
because we need to use algebra method to solve the question
here is a sample of the questions:
"Lily scored an average of 81 marks for her English, Chinese, Science and Mathematics.
She scored 1/4 less marks for chinese than english,
2/3 more marks for science than chinese and
4 more marks for maths than english.
How many marks Lily did score for her English?"
hehe...
come on friends
take out a pen and a paper and start scrabbling
use any method you like to solve this question...
DONT SCROLL DOWN YET
TRY DOING IT FIRST!!
(ATTEMPT FIRST BEFORE LOOKING FOR THE ANSWER!!!)
hehehehehe..
who ever wants the answer...
pls leave a note to me
i'll send an email to you
hehehehhehe.....
